Support from 9-piece funky soul band Souled Out

Legend at The Opera House

Last seen in town supporting Jimmy Cliff!

Legend's gigs at Mr Kyps have been elevated to legendary status by virtue of the passion with which they have played and the emphatic response they have received from audiences who have bounced, skanked and swayed to every note of every song.

After their resoundingly popular show supporting Jimmy Cliff at the Opera House it is with pleasure that Mr Kyps present them to you once again at this magnificent venue!

A 7-piece band including their very own Wailers (backing singers Leone and Elaine), the members of Legend have a superb musical pedigree, whose members have worked with such reggae greats as: The Mighty Diamonds, Dennis Brown, Rankin Roger, The Beat, Burning Spear, Apache Indian, Johnny 2 Bad, Errol Dunkley, George and Desmond Decker, Musical Youth and many more luminaries from reggae and ska. The accurate re-creation of tunes such as Jammin, Exodus, No Woman No Cry, Wait In Vain, I Shot The Sheriff will astound you, but what will truly stir the soul and get you moving is the energy and passion with which the songs are delivered by the band.

"The sounds, arrangements, and vocals could not be any more accurate. - I closed my eyes and I was back in Brighton all of those years ago. I don't mind admitting that these guys brought more than a few tears of happiness to my eyes."
