After a good day in the sun and a couple of drinks watching the football we decided to head on to Klute for a few more drinks and a dance. On arrival i was wearing smart (brand new) black trainers (with a small white section). The doorman advised as long as i was eating in the restaraunt i could enter. After eating a meal i went down to the floor below to continue the evening, the doorman found me on the dancefloor and deciced to victimise me, forcing me to leave before i'd even had a chance to finish my drink. Apparently this was because i was wearing trainers! Looking round the club there were many people wearing trainers, some were in a terible state and were probably the cause of the nasty stench in the air.

After talking to the doormen for about 20 minutes and wathcing them let in another half dozen people in wearing trainers i was still lost as to why i had been kicked out and no-one had an answer.

So to summarise, free = entry good, £4.50 for a drink = very bad, net being allowed to finish my drink even aftre paying for a meal = unbelieveable customer service! Returning to Klute for a night out? = Not a chance even if i had a free meal, free beer and was allowed to wear my trainers.

Klute is one of those places where you go in and think 'I could get used to this'. People are dressed to impress, the overall feel of it is very pleasant, and if you go there on a Thursday, they have some pretty good live accoustic music in the upstairs lounge.

However. Don't go there on a regular basis, as the generic-ness of it can get boring, and end up down-right annoying. People soon quickly seem to be stuck up their own backsides, the queues for drinks upstairs can get you really impatient (not the bar staff's fault, I might add, it's just the physical size of the bar itself that's the problem), and the overall feel of it can get repetetive, even monotonous.

But, having said that, it's by far one of the better places to go, especially when you compare it to the likes of Bliss or Toko.
