Toko has all the charm and character of an independant nightclub whilst being large enough to compete with larger clubs like Lava. We had an awesome time and were well looked after by some of the best looking bar staff I have ever seen! Definately worth the £2 to get in and some! Thank you TOKO!!!!

They've recently revamped Toko. There are now even more fish tanks inside instead of where the old bar used to be and now there are two bars making the club much more spacious, less boring and it also makes it easier to get served. Unfortunately they still play too much cheese on the main dance floor. "Build me up Buttercup" is one of many cheesy songs always on the playlist which gets so tiresome if you're a regular to Bournemouth. Downstairs is more serious dance club music and it's fun down there but too small really. Drinks are cheap on Thursdays but too expensive on weekends and entry is now £5 which is too expensive for the size of the venue, although it may stop it from getting too crowded.

its always overpacked with pikeys, queued for 45mins for a drink, brought 3 so i wouldnt have to queue, and they all tasted shit, toko must water down the booze or sometin? and smells of wet dogs..
so tokos shut down now?

good nightclub,except dont leave your coat on your seat when you go to toilet otherwise it wll get pinched like mine did on thurs nite,wont be going there again

Why has this club got such a low rating? By any town's standard and any country's standard, Toko is a good club. Good music, good drinks, cheap as hell, and great style.

If you don't like Toko, then you're really not got to like clubbing in general. Toko is a great club.

If you are lured into Toko by the free entrance and £1.50 a drink before 11pm (like we were) your in for a major let down!! As we found out the beer here is rancid, completely flat and makes you want to....well you know. Thats proberly the reason they are so cheep. Also the managers are disgraceful in customer care! When informed of the beer problem one drank from our glasses, told us they were fine, but didn't offer to at least replace the ones he had backwashed.... another offered to replace all the rancid beer.... but with yet more rancid beer. What a shame a nice place ruined by the bad people that run it!!!

Brads summed this place up pretty well. The drink prices are a joke, I've had to pay £8 for a vodka red bull in here before and you're looking at about £6 a pint some nights which is a f*cking disgrace especially if they are charging at the door that night as well. It is always soooooo overcrowded as well, which is one of the reasons they get a lot of trouble in here, you get a lot of p*icks walking around with chips on their shoulders like extras from the Football Factory as well, i have seen more people kicking off in here than the rest of town put together i'ts a pity though cos its got quite a good layout and good tunes as well.

Poor fish! I do feel for them :) Toko could be ALOT better. £40.00 for a round of drinks is pretty unacceptable outside of London to be honest and packing in so many people in such a small venue just makes for LONG waiting times at the bar and a general crap vibe.
Is a shame because Toko could do alot better.

Toko is one of the messiest nights out in bournemouth!!it is one of those clubs where u go down stairs and dont care what people think. student nights on a thursday at 1.50 a drink means that there is no way u cant get outragously drunk!!i definatly recommend toko on thursdays!!
