BAR SO
Bar So is a well established and stylish pre-club venue located on Exeter Road about 100 yards from the Bournemouth Pier and beaches. Bar So is part of the Exeter Hotel.
The inside of Bar So is modern and still cozy because of its wooden floors and earth tones interior. The building is shaped in a circular form which makes it stand out from other night venues. Even though Bar So fits more than 500 people, door queues aren't a rarity. The dresscode is smart casual, which is a bit more relaxed than other clubs in Bournemouth.
Events in Bar So are quite diverse. There are Salsa dancing classes during the week on Mondays, speed dating and they were even host to a cocktail mixing competition!
A taxi stand is located next to the venue, so getting home safe and quick won't be a problem. Grab some food during the day and a cocktail or two at night. You won't regret it. Entry to Bar So is free of charge.
Bar So Nights
Monday - So Relaxed - chilled out tunes. Plus so Tango in the lower
bar area.
Tuesday - So Student - Remember 25% of all food and drink all week
(excluding Saturday)
Wednesday - So Salsa - Largest salsa lessons outside of London
Thursday - Iron out the creases out before the weekend (if anyone can
come up with something better please do!!)
Friday - So Fridays - Bar So Friday nights featuring Jorge Austin,
get down to an electro pop, underground house breaks and a few classics
thrown in for good measure!
Saturday -So Saturday - If you come to Bar So on Saturday night you're
going to experience deep and soulful house at its best. "It could be Funky,

Sunday - So Chilled - Relax on our sun terrace with a bottle of wine

Went here on a tuesday night a couple of weeks ago, could here the bass from my hotel room (bourne beat hotel) so had to check it out. They were playing Dubstep which sounded propa with the good sound setup they have in there. Only complaint is that I payed £8 for 1 double vodka redbull... oooooo pr...! (read more)

I work in customer service, and i treat people the way i wish to be treated. I certainly didnt get this from those rude doorstaff at Bar so! My boyfriend was laughing with us girlies,and some bald ugly doormen came up asked him to leave.... he was barely drinking!!! swearing and totally unaproac... (read more)

A lively and gorgeous venue, with a nice crowd of regulars!! lovely drinks, and awesome music!! One minor criticism tho was the quality of the door staff...i found very rude, and unnaproachable, particularly to my husband :( which other wise spoiled a fantastic night (read more)

A very classy and stylish looking bar with a well thought out layout, wide selection of drinks and relativley good music, the advertising and branding is pretty clever too. Problem is, don't even think about going if you are a bloke, under 30 who isn't dressed for a funeral cos they won't let you...n (read more)
